GARY SINISE HAS BEEN SELECTED FOR THE ARMY’S HIGHEST AWARD FOR A CIVILIAN.
Gary Sinise has been completely devoted to the military and it’s veterans. This devotion and service has earned him the George Catlett Marshall Medal. This is the highest award a civilian can get. Looking at all he has done for the military and it’s vets, he is very deserving of the medal.
From awm:
On notification that he will be the recipient of this prestigious honor, Sinise issued a public statement saying:
“I am honored to be invited to receive the George Catlett Marshall Medal from the Association of the United States Army. It has been a great blessing to know there is something I can do to support the men and women in uniform who defend our nation and I will look forward to expressing my gratitude in person at the Marshall Dinner.”
The award will be presented to him at a special dinner held in October.
After playing Lieutenant Dan in the very successful movie, “Forrest Gump”, Gary Sinise was someone who veterans felt they could relate to. When visiting hospitals, he realized early on that Lieutenant Dan would always be a part of his life. Some veterans didn’t even know his real name, but they knew Lieutenant Dan. Sinise also has a lot of family who are veterans and he has been supporting the vets for years. They obviously have a special place in his heart.
This man is so deserving of this award more than anyone I can think of!! Even the Nobel Peace Prize, somebody nominate him for that one too!
Gary, you are a beautiful example of love. Thank you for everything you do for everyone in this country, especially our soldiers. God bless you for all you do!
Share this if you’re thankful for men like Gary Sinise!
