In a startling revelation that speaks volumes about the dismal state of affairs in the Biden administration, U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz announced his impending departure. Ortiz, a dedicated public servant with over 30 years of experience, is set to retire, as per the email he sent to staff on Tuesday.

Ortiz, who has dutifully served the country for 32 years in various capacities – including assignments in Afghanistan, headquarters tours, and roles in multiple sectors – stated his decision to retire.

The Daily Caller reported his letter to colleagues where he said:

“I have proudly served in the Armed Forces and across this country and enjoyed every opportunity I have had to work for and on behalf of the American people.”

His retirement message also acknowledged his belief in the professional workforce, strong union relationships, and commendable leaders he’s leaving behind. He maintained that his commitment to the mission and the country remained steadfast throughout his service.

“Serving as your Chief has been one of the greatest honors and privileges I have had and please know I will always champion this agency, its mission, and the people who make the Border Patrol everything that it is.”

This comes amidst a period of deepening border crisis, an issue that saw significant deterioration following President Joe Biden’s hasty reversal of former President Donald Trump’s border security policies. These changes have spurred an alarmingly high influx of illegal migrants, as per the Daily Wire.

Earlier this year, Ortiz testified to Congress, contradicting DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ claims, asserting that the Biden administration had lost operational control over the U.S. southern border. His assertions starkly highlighted the inadequacy of the current administration’s border control measures.

Meanwhile, Trump gave an insight into an executive order that he would implement on his first day back in office aimed at curtailing “chain migration”. In a video posted on Dropbox by his campaign, Trump criticized Biden’s immigration policies, terming them as egregiously inappropriate.

He lambasted Biden for turning a blind eye to the illegal invasion of our country, leading to a record number of illegal immigrants pouring in from all corners of the world. Trump pointed out that under Biden’s current policies, children born to these illegal immigrants will automatically become U.S. citizens.

“As part of my plan to secure the border on day one of my new term in office, I will sign an Executive Order making clear to federal agencies that under the correct interpretation of the law, going forward,” Trump announced, “the future children of illegal aliens will not receive automatic U.S. citizenship.”

Asserting that his policies will eliminate a significant incentive for illegal immigration, Trump added that it will deter migrants from coming and prompt those unlawfully allowed into the country by Biden to return to their homelands.

He also vowed to end the deceptive practice of birth tourism, a system exploited by hundreds of thousands of people to illegitimately obtain U.S. citizenship for their children, often to take advantage of chain migration.

Trump concluded, “We will secure our borders, and we will restore sovereignty starting on day one,” showcasing a stark contrast to Biden’s policies that have resulted in a border crisis, illegal immigration, and undermining of our nation’s sovereignty.
