He Caught A Pedo Attacking His Son, What He Did Next Is Pure Karma!

An Oklahoma minister was arrested for inappropriately touching a child at a bus stop. The victim’s parents told police they caught him in the act.

According to Oklahoma City Police, a father of the said child told him about a jogger who would come by the bus stop every morning and inappropriately touch kids.

The father said that on Wednesday he decided to park his car near the bus stop to confirm what his child had told him. He allegedly saw Michael Eric Coghill, 33, a discipleship minister at Lakehoma Church of Christ.

The Father told police he saw Coghill jog by the bus stop a second time after the children had arrived. The father told police he watched from his car as Coghill stopped and began touching one of the children.

He also filmed the counter and confronted Coghill about touching the child. Coghill tried to run, but the father physically restrained him, tackle him, fight him, and subdue him until police arrived.

The man told police the child said the “the guy had touched him on the back and he don’t like they way it made him feel.”

At the scene, police conducted an investigation, which included viewing the video recorded by the Father. In a police report, Coghill was arrested on a complaint of lewd/indecent acts toward a child. The incident and subsequent arrest were reported on the Oklahoma City Police Department’s Facebook page.

Residents in a neighborhood near Southwest 36th Street and County Line Road were still in shock the day after police were on their street.

“There’s hardly any words that are camera appropriate,” witness Lisa Ward said. “It’s just sickening.”

Lisa Ward’s daughters wait at the same bus stop where a 9-year-old boy reported he was inappropriately touched by Coghill.

In a police report, Coghill lives in a community nearby, “I just thought he was a runner in the neighborhood,” Ward said.

“He knew the time he would be there every day,” Ward continued. “That was the hardest part, the most disgusting part.”

Police say, an officer transported Coghill to Southwest Medical Center, where doctors determined that he had a skull fracture and a cracked orbital socket on the left side of his face. The police said medical personnel determined that Coghill did not require surgery for his injuries, and he was transported to the Oklahoma County jail and booked without incident.

On its Facebook page, Lakehoma Church of Christ issued the following statement:

“We were heartbroken to learn of the incident that occurred yesterday morning involving Mike Coghill, our discipleship minister. And we were shocked to learn this news through social media today. Mike has a clean background check, and we have received no reports or claims against him during his tenure at Lakehoma. Our hearts go out to the family and the child involved in the incident. We would encourage everyone to pray for this family during a very difficult time in their lives.”
