She Was Reporting On A Totally Tragic Death, Then She Found Out Something Absolutely Horrible….

Reporting the facts is the only duty that reporters and anchors have. These facts frequently have little to do with their private life. It makes their work a lot simpler when they’re discussing a situation, no matter how serious, that has nothing to do with them, like a shooting or an accident in another state. When the news is about their family, though, the facts have a different meaning.

A TV anchor of a regional news channel of Chattisgarh set a great example of professionalism on Saturday, Supreet Kaur kept her composure and finished her duty despite knowing the tragedy, that in a very unfortunate incident, she herself read out the news of the death of three men, including her husband, in a road accident.

She was a seasoned news anchor, having worked at this station for the past nine years, and knew how to deliver the news with the right mix of empathy, concern, and objectivity. A certain amount of emotional distance is necessary for newscasters and reporters to maintain in order to prevent becoming emotionally overwhelmed by all of humanity’s horrible occurrences.

The number of murders, accidents, and natural disasters seems to be increasing daily and doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. There hasn’t been any evidence in recent years that the news industry is slowing down.

As the narrative was being recounted, Kaur was seated in front of the camera and reading from a teleprompter. She read what was displayed on the screen as she was supposed to. She started covering the details of a fatal car accident on this particular day; it was dreadful, but it was part of her work.

Kaur doesn’t know when she reads the lines how her life will change as a result of the car crash. She had no idea that her partner was the one killed in the collision because she was not aware of who it was.

Kaur didn’t realize she was writing about her husband’s terrible death until pictures started appearing on the screen.

Despite realizing the tragedy that struck her, Kaur kept reading out news and finished her duty. After the bulletin ended, Kaur called the reporter and verified the passing of her husband.

“It could have been a difficult situation for anyone. But she controlled her anxiety, remained composed, and showed exemplary commitment to her job. We are proud of her,” a colleague of her TV station said.

After hearing about the accident, she reportedly started crying as she was leaving the studio.
