Where They Found A Missing Couple On Vacation In Mexico Will Absolutely Break Your Heart…

A California couple who had been missing in Mexico have been found dead at the bottom of a well.

According to the Associated Press, the bodies of Ian Hirschsohn, 78, and Kathy Harvey, 73, were recovered from a well in an unpopulated area south of Ensenada over the Labor Day weekend.

Hirschsohn and Harvey both from San Diego, had been staying at his second home near El Socorrito in the western Mexican state of Baja California when they were last heard from Aug. 28.

Harvey’s son, Robert Harvey, said that day, his mom texted him to say the pair had been planning to visit a gold mine or the beach.

And because the couple was familiar with the home and the surrounding area, family and friends hardly thought about it when the pair went off on a trip to Mexico. But when people back home stopped hearing from the couple, they grew worried and reported the couple missing.

Hirschsohn, a former aerospace engineer and Princeton University grad, and Harvey, who had worked as a physical therapist, were supposed to return to California three days later. And on September 2nd, the family reported Hirschsohn & Harvey missing.

While they weren’t each other’s first big relationship, the two seemed to get along wonderfully. According to a neighbor, Hirschsohn‘s kids lost their biological mother not that long ago, meaning that this may be especially tough for them to handle. The situation altogether is rough.

According to officials, it looks like the couple got mixed up in a burglary gone bad.

A burglar was reportedly in the house, unaware that it was currently being occupied. After being surprised by their presence, the burglar shot both Ian and Kathy. To dispose of their remains, he threw them in a well, where the bodies were later recovered. A witness reportedly led authorities to the well in question and pointed out the man who allegedly murdered the couple.

Human remains were soon discovered in a nearby well Thursday — and authorities have now positively confirmed that they are the couples.

The pair’s deaths are now considered foul play

While a suspect is in custody, the police aren’t giving out exact details on where they were found due to the active investigation currently in place. Based on the nature of what happened and the fact that both victims were in the well, police believe that foul play was at hand and are trying to officially put the pieces together.
