New Biden Rule Would BAN Half Of All Existing Gas Stoves Immediately…

The Biden administration is once again taking aim at American homeowners, this time with a new proposal to ban gas appliances such as stoves.

According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, gas-powered stoves are a “hidden health hazard,” emitting pollutants that are linked to respiratory illness, cardiovascular problems, cancer, and other health conditions. The Department of Energy has proposed a new “efficiency” rule that could effectively ban gas appliances, with the potential to eliminate fully-featured gas products, according to Jill Notini, a vice president of the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers.

The proposed efficiency rule could ban up to 50% of current gas stove models, according to a new analysis by the Department of Energy. The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers has said that 95% of the market for new gas products would likely not meet the new proposed rules. However, DOE has said that products with at least one high-input rate burner and continuous cast iron grates, two features that it determined are priorities for the public, would still be available on the market.

Despite DOE’s assurance that high-input rate burners and continuous cast iron grates would still be available on the market, the new proposal has triggered partisan rancor in Washington D.C. The proposal has also raised concerns among homeowners who rely on gas stoves for cooking.

According to a report by E&E News, “the projection, which DOE posted online two weeks after the rule’s release on Jan. 31, aims to provide more clarification on the expected impact of a proposal that is now receiving comments from the public.”

Many homeowners are concerned that the proposal will limit their options for home appliances and could increase costs for new appliances that comply with the proposed regulations. Some have criticized the move as part of a larger agenda to force Americans to switch to electric appliances, a move that could lead to higher energy bills and limited options for homeowners.

Critics argue that this is just another example of the Biden administration’s overreaching and trying to control every aspect of American life. They also point out that natural gas is an affordable and reliable source of energy that provides heating and cooking options for millions of Americans. Any move to limit the use of natural gas would be harmful to the millions of families who rely on it.

Ultimately, the proposed ban on gas stoves is just another example of government overreach and an attack on individual freedoms. Homeowners should have the right to choose the appliances that work best for their families and their budgets, without government interference.
