The controversial transgender influencer who was invited to Biden’s White House has posted a video showing off her bruised and scarred face after she underwent facial feminization surgery.
It all started on Dec. 16th, when “transgender woman” Dylan Mulvaney posted a TikTok video of himself “excitedly getting out of bed.”
“It’s surgery day!!!” the caption read.

Later that day, he posted another video showing himself being dropped off at the surgery location.
Mulvaney could be seen in a TikTok video posted on December 21 with bandages around her head and gauze covering her face as she told her 9.9 million followers she was feeling well following the controversial surgery.
The influencer shared the alarming update following her facial feminization surgery in a TikTok video. As part of plastic surgery, transgender women get their facial bones sliced off and sanded down to make themselves appear more feminine.
Mulvaney, 26, has been hailed as a transgender icon who gained a massive following after sitting down with President Joe Biden in October.
A couple of days after the surgery, Mulvaney posted a new shocking video showing him post-surgery. As seen below, his face was a bandage-covered hot mess:

By the end of the month, Mulvaney looked better, though he reportedly claimed in yet another video that his face was still swollen.
“Miss you all already,” Mulvaney said hoarsely in the video, “and I’m doing well, so thank you for supporting me. I love you so much, thank you, love ya!”
“It’s so much more painful than I thought, but it is the best decision I have ever made,” Mulvaney said in the video. “I’m really happy and so excited for the future. Love you, guys!”
No doubt. Facial feminization surgery is no joke.
“Facial feminization surgery encompasses a broad range of procedures to change the shape of the face to look feminine. Examples include having the hairline moved to create a smaller forehead, having lips and cheekbones augmented, or having the jaw and chin reshaped and resized. Skin-tightening surgery, such as a face-lift, is another option,” the Mayo Clinic notes.

According to the Daily Mail, this may sometimes mean messing with bones.
“As part of facial feminization surgery, transgender women can get their facial bones sawed down and even removed to achieve a more feminine look,” the outlet notes.
“It can include a range of different surgeries, including reconstructing the forehead by removing the bony ridge above a patient’s eyes and reshaping the hairline (which may include shaving down or grinding the bony ridge or cutting a piece of existing bone and replacing it with a bon graft),” the Daily Mail reported Sunday.

The work can cost between $20,000 to $50,000, depending on the surgeon, as well as the procedures that the transgender individual is seeking.
For the time being, transgender patients must pay for these costs out of pocket, as facial feminization surgery is classified by most insurers as an elective procedure.
“FFS can have more impact on a person’s mental health and social well-being than genital surgeries such as vaginoplasty and phalloplasty. As society becomes more familiar with transgender issues, the medical establishment seems to be slowly recognizing FFS as fundamental to transgender care, rather than optional and elective,” Healthline notes.
That being said, Mulvaney should have no problems covering the costs.
“Mulvaney has previously said that her ‘Days of Girlhood’ series — in which she documents each day since her transition — effectively pays for the surgeries that it documents,” according to the Daily Mail.
