Shoppers were left horrified after hearing that a woman had been sexually assaulted at a Miami Walmart.

A very disturbing video has been released showing a 28-year-old man being beaten in the aisles of a Walmart store after attacking a woman and allegedly sexually assaulting her. The suspect’s name is Jarmal Bredan Harvey, according to various outlets.

The events took place at a supermarket chain Sunday evening Walmart in the Northwest area of ​​Miami.

According to shocked witnesses, the man threw himself at a woman in the middle of Walmart. He pulled up her skirt and ripped off her underwear in an alleged attempt to rape her. Several people rushed to assist the young woman who was terrified.

Investigators said one of the good Samaritans jumped on the would-be rapist’s back and tried to pull him off the woman.

Then another man jumped in to assist and together they were able to pull Harvey off his intended victim, WPLG reported.

Miami-Dade police said the other shoppers helped the victim “resist further attacks.”

Harvey attempted to flee the scene afterwards but cell phone videos from inside the store showed several good Samaritans chased him, stopped him, and held him down until police arrived, WPLG reported.

He was arrested and charged with attempted rape.

In court on Monday, the judge was visibly unsettled by the details of the incident, WPLG reported.

The judge noted that Harvey was already on probation when he attempted to sexually assault the other Walmart shopper.

Harvey’s bond was set at $50,000 and he was ordered to stay away from his victim and the Walmart where he committed his crime, WPLG reported.

The Miami-Dade Police Department said investigators are concerned that there may be other victims given how brazen Harvey’s attack on the woman was.

Police have urged anyone who has been victimized by Harvey to come forward for assistance, WPLG reported.
