A Woke College Program At Harvard Was Forced To Shut Down After Just…

After President Trump’s election victory in 2016, many of the elite educational institutions like Harvard tried to prove disinformation, a far-left funded research trying to discredit the then-president.

Now, a leaked email Friday confirmed that, after several years of operation, Harvard University would close a project that tracked so-called social media misinformation, The Hill reported.

The program’s director, Dr. Joan Donovan, who expressed notable skepticism regarding the Hunter Biden laptop story, is leaving the organization. Donavan describes herself as an expert on the risks associated with false information spreading on social media, as per reports.

Donavan used her position to challenge media accounts of Hunter’s laptop tale, in which the president’s son’s lost laptop was discovered in a Delaware repair facility.

The laptop was full of damaging emails and numerous illicit photos from his time working for the Ukrainian energy company Burisma.

Some projects, such as Hamilton 68, which was used by dozens of left-leaning outlets to claim that Russian disinformation bots were a prevalent force on the internet, have been thoroughly debunked as the methodology they used could not hold up to scrutiny.

The project is being disbanded for “bureaucratic” reasons, Shorenstein Center director Nancy Gibbs wrote Thursday in an email obtained by Semafor. She explained that the project cannot continue since Donovan, who has led the project since 2019 and is listed as the center’s research director, is not a full-time faculty member.

Donovan is being forced to resign by the summer of 2024 and he is no longer allowed to raise funds for the project and a hiring freeze has been instituted by the university.

The dean of the Harvard Kennedy School is reportedly forcing “misinformation expert” Joan M. Donovan from her position at the school’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy, as well as ending her research project.

Three sources that are staff members at the Harvard Kennedy School told The Harvard Crimson that Donovan, who is not a tenure-track professor has been told that she has until the summer of 2024 to end her Technology and Social Change Project, and leave her role at the school.

Donovan serves as the Shorenstein Center’s research director, and has led the project since its creation in 2019. She has also served as an adjunct lecturer in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Donovan was reportedly told that her prominence at the school led to Harvard Kennedy School Dean Douglas W. Elmendorf ending her time at the center, according to The Harvard Crimson.
