On Sunday night, Atlanta was hit with chaos as Antifa militants clashed with police officers and set fire to the construction site of a future cop training center. The Gateway Pundit reported that the construction site was destroyed, and Fox 5 Atlanta confirms that the police officers were able to use “non-lethal” force against the group, resulting in no officer injuries.

Unfortunately, a handful of Antifa militants were treated for minor injuries. The APD announced that they have arrested 35 “agitators” so far, and that more “protests” are being planned. The Antifa group allegedly responsible for the attack promoted direct action weeks ago, and The Post Millennial’s Andy Ngo reports that Antifa groups are fundraising off last night’s terror attack.

This was not the first time Antifa has targeted the future cop training center. The protests started in June 2021 when the training center was announced, and far-left opponents camped out in surrounding trees.

In December 2022, The Gateway Pundit reported that five Antifa members were arrested and held on terrorism charges after protesting outside the training center. Unfortunately, in January, TGP reported that a leftist protester from Stop Cop City ATL was killed, and a Georgia State Patrol trooper was injured during a confrontation near the facility.

The newly-released police footage shows how last night’s terror attack unfolded. Antifa extremists threw fireworks, Molotov cocktails, rocks, and bricks at the police officers and the construction equipment.

The APD released a statement last night, announcing that a group of violent agitators used the cover of a peaceful protest of the proposed Atlanta Public Safety Training Center to conduct a coordinated attack on construction equipment and police officers.

On March 5, 2023, a group of violent agitators used the cover of a peaceful protest of the proposed Atlanta Public Safety Training Center to conduct a coordinated attack on construction equipment and police officers. They changed into black clothing and entered the construction area and began to throw large rocks, bricks, Molotov cocktails, and fireworks at police officers.

The agitators destroyed multiple pieces of construction equipment by fire and vandalism. Multiple law enforcement agencies deployed to the area and detained several people committing illegal activity. 35 agitators have been detained so far.

The illegal actions of the agitators could have resulted in bodily harm. Officers exercised restraint and used non-lethal enforcement to conduct arrests.

With protests planned for the coming days, the Atlanta Police Department, in collaboration with law enforcement partners, have a multi-layered strategy that includes reaction and arrest.

The Atlanta Police Department asks for this week’s protests to remain peaceful.

Also, the Post Millennial’s Andy Ngo reports that the entire attack was well-organized, and the actions by the Antifa group allegedly responsible for last night’s attack promoted direct action weeks ago. Furthermore, the group reportedly used Twitter to immediately fundraise for their violent comrades who were being arrested at the attack in Atlanta. The rioters are members of @defendATLforest, an extremist far-left group dedicated to using violence to stop the construction of a police training center.

Antifa’s behavior is unacceptable and is tearing apart the fabric of society. The United States is a country of law and order, and we cannot have groups of people acting as judge, jury, and executioner, taking the law into their own hands.

The media must call out these far-left groups that have been perpetrating violence and destruction in the name of social justice. It’s time for the federal government and law enforcement agencies to take decisive action to stop Antifa’s reign of terror. The violence must end, and we must do everything in our power to protect the rule of law and ensure the safety of our communities.
