David Crosby Went OFF On A Fan And Got Ripped To Pieces For It…

Over the weekend, David Crosby has become a hot topic on the social media platform after shading a painting the fan-created of the Crosby, Stills & Nash founder.

A fan shared a portrait he’d made of the American singer on Twitter tagging him in the post.

The fan optimistically wrote, “hope you are keeping well. Did a picture of you…. Thanks for the music.”

However, in response, instead of complimenting the fan or thanking him for his effort, Crosby bluntly reacted to the portrait by saying,That is the weirdest painting of me. I have ever seen …..don’t quit your day job.”

Following his comments, the 80-year-old musician then went viral. Crosby drew negative feedback for the comment almost immediately. Fans thought his criticism was unfair and that he needs to express more gratitude for his supporters’ efforts.

One user shared another portrait of Crossby mocking him saying:How’s this one, Dave? I just drew it quick, with the look on your face when you realize you may have come across like an asshole here.”

Here are some responses from folks online:

“Such low rent behaviour to see an artist who got to where he wanted to be and who then tries to knock the self confidence out of another artist who was kind enough to paint him. Graceless and tacky.”

“Teach your children to not be David Crosby. #dontbeadavid”

“This is the nastiest, most ungrateful comment I’ve seen on this forum. It would behoove David to grasp the content of humility and gratitude. In addition, he lost a fan.”

“David Crosby being a complete a**hole to one of his fans for no reason whatsoever just emphasizes how screwed up social networking can be. The art was cool and David Crosby just proved to the world he ain’t!”

“‘Sending David Crosby weirder paintings of him than this challenge’ begins now.”

The original artist has not responded the Crosby’s comments. But he did send a follow-up Tweet to acknowledge he’s seen the reactions online to Crosby’s bluntness.

“After yesterday’s somewhat lively discussion on subjectivity in art appreciation, I’d just like to say thank you to all the new followers and those who took the time to leave comments. Best wishes,” he shared on Sunday.
