This Montana man will likely never see the outside world again after committing this hideous crime.

55-year-old Mikael Shane Pruett, who repeatedly raped his 11-year-old granddaughter and got her pregnant in the process, has been sentenced to 200 years in prison for his crime.

The sex predator also sexually assaulted the victim’s 9-year-old younger sister regularly.
Pruett of Stevensville, Montana, USA, was the guardian of both girls when he raped them. The District Judge, Jeffrey Langton handed down a sentence of 100 years each for the two counts of incest.
The rapist’s grandfather was arrested after the 11-year-old girl was found to be 32 weeks pregnant and upon questioning, she admitted that her grandfather had been sleeping with her and her sister.

Back in July 2014, the girl’s younger sister — who is 9 years old — told her biological mother she witnessed the grandfather sexually assaulting her sister.

She said in an interview that she would sometimes wake up and watch “through a peeking hole” in her bunk bed as Pruett molested her older sister.

The 9-year-old girl also told Missoulian that Pruett had sexually abused her by “kissing her privates,” and telling her to keep it a secret.

The 11-year-old girl gave birth in August. Pruett — who is the guardian of both girls — pleaded guilty in November. He was also charged with lewd conduct with a minor and forced sexual penetration in a different state two decades ago, according to  Missoulian.

The sheriff’s office is investigating claims he sexually assaulted other girls, one of them being as young as 3 years old.

Ravalli County District Judge Jeffrey Langton said the grandfather seemed “to lack any semblance of a conscience,” at court on Jan 21. He sentenced the man to 100 years each on two counts of incest. When he asked Pruett if he had anything to say, the grandfather replied: “I’m so sorry.” Langton asked him if that was all and Pruett sniffled and bowed his head.

Pruett had found himself in a position of unbridled power over the young girls. Not only was he his victims’ grandfather, but he was also their legal guardian. Because no one was there to monitor his horrible behavior, he gained unprecedented access to the little girls and abused his privilege many times over the years.

Fortunately, the judge ensured that Pruett would be behind bars for the rest of his life. He will not be eligible for parole until he turns 105, which will likely never come for the man who will spend decades behind bars.
