The fate of a high school physical education teacher in Illinois appeared unclear after he was placed on administrative leave for refusing to let a transgender student use a locker room that did not correspond with their natural birth sex.
Cody Hiller, who has taught for over a decade, was placed on administrative leave following the incident, he told “The Todd Starnes Show.”
Hiller, a father to six children, had taught physical education at West Frankfort High School in Illinois for 14 years. A 14-year-old female student entered the boys’ locker room to undress and change into her gym clothes. Meanwhile, the male students were also in the locker room trying to change for their class.
Hiller, as a Christian man, reported this to the school’s administration and said he “could not stand for that.”
“I’ve got morals, I’ve got beliefs, I’ve got a line, and that – I wasn’t going to allow that to happen while I was there at school,” Hiller said to Lindell TV’s Brannon Howse in an interview.
Howse then explained that the school cited Illinois’ transgender law that allows anyone to change where they want, regardless of biological gender/expression.
Hiller said that the administration asked him if he was going to stick to his position on the issue, and he confirmed that he was. “At that point, I was placed on administrative leave,” said Hiller.
Hiller made it clear that he was willing to lose his job in order to keep the transgender boy out of the boy’s locker room.
“It wasn’t a choice. If it costs me my job, then it costs me my job.”
According to AWM, parents are now speaking up in defense of Hiller and are asking the school board not to fire the physical education teacher. These conservative parents are begging the school district to “do the right thing.”
“This is a bad law,” James Conyers said, according to WSILTV. “You need to stand up for good laws and laws that mean something to everyone. I’m disappointed in how you’ve done your jobs.”
Mom of two, Casey Smith, believes that “kids change their minds,” so who is to say that this transgender boy is really a boy?
“What happens when they change their mind and my son is the one in the locker room with a child who’s now decided they’re a girl again?” Smith asked.
If the parents DON’T demand the firing of the “administration” and replace the “woke” school board members that allowed this…every student should be kept at home
till it’s corrected.
