Obama’s Tweet About The Uvalde Shooting Has Got People Furious! joe May 27, 2022 Uncategorized Barack Obama was slammed for comparing the Texas school shooting to George Floyd’s killing. On Wednesday, the Democrat leader marked the second anniversary of Floyd’s death and faced backlash for still promoting his favored groups at the time of national mourning. Obama stated Wednesday that as Americans grieve the children of Uvalde, all should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer. How can Obama make such a sick comparison in the middle of national mourning? “His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him,” Obama said in a tweet. Here’s what the Fox News reported: The bloodshed in Uvalde occurred one day prior to the two-year mark of the death of George Floyd, which sparked civil unrest across the country in 2020 after viral footage showed Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on him as he repeatedly claimed he couldn’t breathe until he died. Chauvin was convicted of second-and third-degree murder last year. Obama commemorated Floyd’s passing while tying it to the current national mourning of the children killed in Uvalde. Here’s what Obama wrote Wednesday: “As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer. His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him.” “In the aftermath of his murder, a new generation of activists rose up to channel their anguish into organized action, launching a movement to raise awareness of systemic racism and the need for criminal justice and police reform.” Many were outraged at Obama’s statement about bringing Floyd into the equation. Redstate editor Kira Davis reacted: “Not a single grieving parent today gives a rip about what happened to Floyd or anyone right now. For crying out loud. This is not the time to be advertising for your favorite activist group. How utterly vile.” Ben Shapiro wondered: “What in the world does the former have to do with the latter?” Journalist Andy Ngo similarly added: “I don’t understand the connection.” Fox News contributor Ben Domenech tweeted at Obama: “Bro. Not the same. At all.” Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon mockingly wrote to the former president: “‘It sucks those kids died, but remember George Floyd? He’s who I’m still thinking about.’ — Barack Obama.” Washington Examiner contributor Harry Khachatrian noted: “George Floyd is the real victim of Uvalde.” Blaze Media podcast host Jason Whitlock wrote: “Brah, this ain’t it. Little kids slaughtered at school is not the equivalent of Floyd dying after resisting arrest while high. This is one of the worst tweets in history.” You can continue reading here: Conservativebrief Sources: Conservativebrief, Fox News Leave a Reply Cancel ReplyYour email address will not be published.CommentName* Email* Website Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
