On Monday, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, and the world’s richest man, Elon Musk struck a deal to buy Twitter for $44 billion, one of the most influential social media platforms on the planet.

The deed is done. The deal has been signed. Twitter is now a privately-owned company, controlled entirely by Elon Musk. He refused to join the board of directors after becoming Twitter’s largest shareholder.

Initially, Twitter tried holding the fort against Elon Musk’s offer to buy the company out. Musk was offering an unprecedented $54.20 for every share of the company. The total size of the buyout was $44 billion.

Musk had declared at the very onset that he would not negotiate the price and that his offer was the “best and final” one.

Of course, Twitter’s liberals are not happy about it, in fact, they have been crying ever since Elon first planned to buy the entire Twitter.

The deal was drenched with the tears of liberals. Twitter, as well all know, has been a bastion of the Left and its allies for years now. It became a town square for liberals to control the narrative.

Twitter’s machinery itself had been corrupted by liberals, which targeted conservatives by suspending their accounts, deleting their tweets, or using the infamous ‘shadow-banning’ mechanism.

And now, a very small fraction of Twitter’s users, who call themselves celebrities planned on leaving the following Elon Musk’s purchase of the social media website Monday.

Charles Blow, a left-wing New York Times opinion writer, tweeted:

“Looks like I’m about to say goodbye to Twitter as well. I’ve been pulling back a bit from social media anyway. This will be just the push I need to go all the way on this app.”

Actress Jameela Jamil wrote on Twitter, while she followed up with a post that claimed it was “my last tweet,” including pictures of the actress and her dog:

“One good thing about Elon buying Twitter is that I will FINALLY leave and stop being a complete menace to society on here. So it’s win win for you all really.”

Left-wing activist and author Amy Siskind told her 550,000 followers that she is considering leaving the social media site. In a series of Twitter posts, Siskind claimed that “whatever content I provide here goes directly towards enriching one man, who I think is absolutely awful.”

She then added:

“People need to understand that this is no longer a public company. Every post you make here is free content to enrich one man, Elon Musk. He is completely in control and answers to no one. I don’t view him as a mentally stable person.”

Yvette Nicole Brown, an actress associated with Disney, said she would join a platform called Counter Social.

“I’m leaving too friend. I joined a site called [Counter Social] … it appears to be fighting against what @twitter is about to become.”

Previously, Musk has criticized Twitter’s content moderation practices and the suspensions of certain individuals.

In his statement, he also said the company should release the source code of its algorithm and make it open source. At the same time, Musk said that he will combat the proliferation of “spam bots” and automated accounts on Twitter.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) wrote on Monday afternoon in support of Musk:

“Today is an encouraging day for freedom of speech. I am hopeful that Elon Musk will rein in Big Tech’s history of censoring users that have a different viewpoint.”

We need to defend the future, it is ours to keep, “The future of free speech.” Imagine being able to put your opinion out on this platform without the fear of getting shadow-banned, suspended, or having your tweets deleted. Individuals are going to get empowered.

Elon Musk is all set to make this a reality. For liberals, this is tantamount to a loss of hegemony, which is why they are all suffering an existential crisis.
