Pilot Nails CNN with Special Bible After They Freak Over Pentagon Prayer Service

In case you missed it—and I sincerely hope you didn’t, because it was one of those glorious moments where the mainstream media accidentally says the quiet part out loud—CNN recently reminded us all that it knows just about zilch when it comes to two pretty big pillars of American life: the military and prayer.

I always figured they were spiritually tone-deaf. Let’s be real, if anyone at CNN hears someone talk about “the Almighty,” they probably assume it’s a reference to Wolf Blitzer. But you’d think they’d at least understand how the U.S. military works, given their fondness for parking reporters in camouflage next to a sandbag wall whenever a storm brews. Nope. Turns out that even the network favored by every delayed traveler at O’Hare has its blind spots.

This latest media meltdown was triggered by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth—yes, that Pete Hegseth—hosting a monthly Christian prayer service at the Pentagon. That’s right. The man dared to bow his head and pray with others in a building that’s survived more than one demonic assault over the years.

CNN’s Natasha Bertrand and Haley Britzky breathlessly reported on May 21 that while “routine religious accommodations” are allowed at the Pentagon, it was apparently some kind of national emergency that the Secretary of Defense would host a religious event during working hours.

Here’s what Hegseth actually said at the service: “This is precisely where I need to be, exactly where we need to be as a nation at this moment, in prayer, on bended knee, recognizing the providence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” And oh boy, the left went full meltdown mode.

The horror didn’t stop there. Hegseth’s pastor, Brooks Potteiger, from Tennessee’s Pilgrim Hill Reformed Fellowship, gave a sermon. Gasp! Worse yet—he thanked God for Trump and other leaders who were “sovereignly appointed.” You could practically hear the collective fainting spell in CNN’s newsroom.

A “defense official” even made sure to note that no taxpayer dollars were used for the pastor’s visit. You know, just in case someone thought the Pentagon was suddenly handing out communion wafers and MAGA hats on the public dime.

Of course, CNN’s crack team consulted military legal experts who deemed the prayer gathering a clear First Amendment violation. Naturally. Because nothing says “clear and present danger to the Republic” like a few Christians gathering to pray in the building that houses the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

That’s when Michael Cassidy—Navy pilot, GOP candidate, and proud destroyer of Satanic Temple displays—stepped in with a history lesson. He posted a photo of a military-issued Bible from World War II, complete with a personal message from none other than Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Yes, that FDR. Patron saint of the modern Democratic Party. In the Bible’s introduction, he wrote: “I take pleasure in commending the reading of the Bible to all those who serve in the armed forces of the United States.” Imagine the CNN headline if someone tried that today: BREAKING: President Endorses Book with Moral Values—Nation Doomed.

The kicker? That dedication was dated before Pearl Harbor. FDR wasn’t waiting until bullets flew to turn to Scripture—he saw the value in it before we’d even entered the war. And guess what? So did every American president before him. And most after.

This country was founded on Judeo-Christian values. That’s not some dusty bumper sticker from a ‘92 Ford Bronco—it’s the foundation. But in 2025, CNN is clutching its pearls because Pete Hegseth wants to pray during his lunch break.

Meanwhile, the Satanic Temple sets up a holiday display in the Iowa state Capitol and the media yawns. At this rate, I half expect CNN to send a fruit basket to Beelzebub for his civic engagement.
