I could retire tomorrow if I could buy Adam Schiff for what he is worth and sell him for what he thinks he’s worth. Schiff now says that the DOJ investigation into the Deep State is illegitimate and that he will probably reject it’s findings. But who is really running an illegitimate investigation? Did the House vote on the investigation? No. Is he only calling witnesses that have first hand knowledge? No. In fact his most effective witness admits his testimony is fourth hand knowledge and other witnesses who d9o have first hand knowledge says he is full of crap.
More importantly, Schiff does not get to decide what to accept or reject. That is up to the DOJ, not a pissyant congressman. The DOJ will run it’s evidence by a grand jury not under the cloak of darkness.
Democratic California Rep. Adam Schiff balked Sunday at reports that U.S. Attorney John Durham’s review of the Russian interference investigation is now a criminal probe.
The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee who has the lead on the impeachment inquiry, tried to suggest the probe was nothing more than an attempt by Attorney General William Barr to persecute President Donald Trump’s political enemies.
“You can assign good people to do an illegitimate investigation,” Schiff told ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” as he suggested he won’t accept the results of such a probe.
“If these reports are correct and Bill Barr’s Justice Department is doing a criminal investigation of people who properly looked into Russian interference in our election … it means that Bill Barr on the president’s behalf is weaponizing the Justice Department to go after the president’s enemies,” Schiff said.
