A Learjet crashed near Palm Beach, Florida, on Nov. 1, 2026, according to The Gateway Pundit’s account of the incident. As outlets report early details, a widely shared clip purports to capture the pilot praying moments before impact, while investigators focus on weather and a possible in‑flight breakup.

What the recordings show

A clip posted on X by LifeSiteNews and labeled “Video: New York Post” says it captures a male pilot reciting the Lord’s Prayer just before the crash. The Gateway Pundit also said a separate recording features the co‑pilot exclaiming they were going to crash. The authenticity of these recordings is not confirmed in the reporting cited.

What investigators are saying

The Daily Mail reported that officials believe the aircraft began breaking apart in the air after being battered by a severe thunderstorm. The outlet also reported nine fatalities.

According to The Gateway Pundit’s summary of a Monday press conference, National Transportation Safety Board officials said they believe severe weather was a “significant factor.”

Flight’s final minutes, per the New York Post

The New York Post reported the jet requested to climb to about 37,000 feet to avoid foul weather. The crew then reported icing and turbulence before the aircraft suddenly plunged, the Post said.

“We do have some indication the aircraft was breaking up before impact,” NTSB spokesperson Thomas B. Chapman said, according to the Post. Investigators were still determining whether a black box recorder survived the crash — or was even on the aircraft and recording — the outlet added.

Location and identities reported

The Daily Mail said the crash occurred just miles from former President Donald Trump’s Mar‑a‑Lago estate, adding that footage showed the Learjet 60 nose‑diving into an intersection and bursting into flames. The outlet named the co‑pilot as Nathalia Filgueiras, 20, and the pilot as Jeff Gregory, 55.
