She Got Fired For Being Pregnant, Then She Got The Ultimate Revenge On Her Boss….

Pregnancy is often labeled as one of the most exciting experiences in a person’s life. But if you’re a working mom-to-be, this time can come with a great deal of stress. Feeling discriminated against for being pregnant is more common than you might think, especially if your boss is out of control and keeps having meltdowns over the smallest details.

This is exactly what happen to this one pregnant woman who ended up getting sweet revenge after a local politician tried to pull a fast one on her campaign manager, and refused to pay her salary but ended up paying way more. The campaign manager was a mom-to-be and was working to get her candidate elected.

After learning she was pregnant, her boss refused to pay her salary. “Since you are pregnant and can no longer door knock, you can either work for the state minimum wage or you can find a new job,” she was told.

She didn’t know it was going to be her last job as a campaign manager when she took the job. At the time, she was looking for a job that was close to home, and even though this job paid less than she was used to, she still took it since her husband was out of work. She explained that her husband used to make six figures, enough to fully support their family, and her paycheck just went into savings; however, her husband lost his job during Covid and was out of work for 8 months.

Everything was fine at the beginning of her job, but she was overworked and expected to do tasks that were usually done by people in lower positions, such as door knocking. The biggest problem with this was that she was not only pregnant but was also in a car accident (the pregnancy was fine) which left her with back pain.

Due to being pregnant, she wasn’t really able to do anything about the back pain. She explained that it was fine; she just had to do most of her job from home. She was still doing her job, but she was unable to do things like door-knocking. But despite her medical condition, she still worked hard for the campaign.

A few weeks later, she told her boss that she couldn’t join her other teammates doing door-to-door work because of her injured back. She suggested hiring someone else, but the lack of funds made it seem impossible. This meant the responsibility now fell on the candidate. She explained what happened next:

“We had a team meeting with the entire team and I started pressuring the candidate about all the things she wasn’t doing and there was a legitimate meltdown.”

With this, his arrogant boss started yelling at her and blamed her for the campaign’s failure. She hung up on the entire team after claiming that OP wasn’t doing her job right.

After the meeting, OP decided not to do any extra tasks and silently played her role as the Campaign Manager (CM). Her boss noticed her behavior and called her. She said:

“Since you are pregnant and can no longer door knock you can either work for (state minimum wage) or you can find a new job.”

Her boss knew her husband was unemployed, so she assumed she wouldn’t leave her post. However, her husband luckily got a job offer the same day, so she told her boss that she didn’t want to continue working. She told her boss that she would serve the 30-day notice period on the same salary and then leave.

But her boss refused to pay her a dime and started yelling about how poorly she had performed. She cut her, telling her she won’t work unless she received her previous month’s salary and the current month’s salary.

When She told the other people on the team she was quitting, they all quit as well.

“I hire a lawyer. She continues to pester me… I reiterate that she isn’t getting anything until I’ve been paid… She then starts calling every friend she has to bully me.”

“In a matter of two weeks, she is once again at square one with no one on her side. She is out of money and struggling. She finally emailed me at 11 pm that she was willing to pay me. It’s nighttime, and I don’t work for her anymore, so I decide I don’t need to respond at that moment. Well, she starts calling me incessantly and texting me, all of which I’m ignoring. By the time I wake up in the morning, I have 20 texts, and 5 missed calls. I tell her that I will need to talk to my lawyer at this point, and I’ll get back to her after he responds.”

Then her boss called the police and told them a boatload of lies.

“The police officer thinks she is nuts at this point… because she is… but then informs her that it considered larceny to withhold my pay and asks me if I would like to press charges. I say, ‘If she refused to pay, then yes.’ Within two days, I received a check in the mail with my payment, and I turned everything over.”

She concluded her post by saying her boss lost the elections by 15 points. The internet applauded because she fought for her rights and won
