She Was So Proud Of Shooting A Defenseless Giraffe, Then She Got Hit With Major Backlash….

A trophy hunter from Kentucky has faced a severe backlash online after sharing photos of the black giraffe she killed on a hunt in South Africa.

Tess Thompson Talley posted pictures on social media of her posing with a fully grown rare black giraffe that she had killed. These shocking images that she posted received a lot of backlash from people who condemned her for taking part in trophy hunting with pride and displaying it without shame.

The 37-year-old trophy hunter described the kill as her “dream hunt” on a much-maligned social media post, which has since been removed:

“Prayers for my once in a lifetime dream hunt came true today. Spotted this rare black giraffe bull and stalked him for quite a while. I knew it was the one. He was over 18 years old, 4,000 lbs and was blessed to be able to get 2,000 lbs of meat from him.”

Wonder if it was the dream of that rare black giraffe to be shot and killed by a POS lowlife neanderthal Tess Thompson Talley!? She must be so proud that she can shoot and kill an aniimal. How SICK is this neanderthal?

If her gloating was ignored and swept under the mattress, you would not be reading about it right now. Thanks to Africa Digest, a newspaper in South Africa, that tweeted the hunter’s trophy photos on June 16, Talley is now learning her lesson after bearing the brunt of severe criticism from animal lovers across social media.

Accompanying the Twitter post, which shows two pictures of Talley, were the words:

“White American savage who is partly a Neanderthal comes to Africa and shoots down a very rare black giraffe courtesy of South African stupidity. Her name is Tess Thompson Talley. Please share”.

Talley’s allegedly inhuman post spurred a national debate on big-game hunting and whether it should be allowed to proliferate in South Africa. Among the African countries where trophy hunting is legal are South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, according to Fox News.

Comments on the Twitter post ranged from those who were expressing their mourning for the animal to those calling out Talley for killing the giraffe.

“Tess Thompson Talley is an embarrassment to our country,” one user wrote. “This is unacceptable moronic behavior. Where is the glory in killing one of nature’s most majestic and harmless animals with a weapon that takes ANY claim of ‘sport’ out of the equation.”

“If you pride yourself at killing animals, how about a really fast and powerful one,” one Twitter user wrote in response to the photos. “A giraffe? That’s so cruel. So, so cruel.”

Now, one year later, she’s spoken out against the criticism she got from the public and defended her kill once again.

“I’m gonna stand up for what I do, for what I believe, and everyone else that does it as well,” she said, insisting that her killing of the giraffe was part of a conservation effort and that she was doing her part to help.

  • If you shoot to eat I don’t have a problem. But, now this was a rare beautiful creature and should have been left alone. On another note this isn’t hunting. Your using a high powered rifle to kill an animal hundreds of feet or yards away. I don’t know what you call it but it isn’t hunting. Take a knife and go hunt. Now the animal has a chance. That is hunting! If you “ hunt” for a trophy, like a head, leg or whatever than your rifle should be taken away, given to someone else and they should “ hunt” you!
