Students Called Racist for Wearing Red, White and Blue – Apologize For Offending Refugees Emmanuel March 13, 2017 US News You Might Like Students at an Iowa high school had to apologize to refugees for wearing red, white and blue! Are you kidding me!? They need to get outta here with that nonsense! They are in America after all… In Des Moines, Iowa student’s from a rival team showed up wearing red, white and blue. Apparently wearing the colors of the American flag is racist now?? Really? From Outlaw Morgan: “This is an example of BLATANT racism,” said Ty Leggett, a Valley High School alum, on the Valley High School – WDMCS Facebook page. “ALL participating should have been pulled and banned from ALL VHS extracurricular events for the remainder of the year! As a parent, I’d be mortified that my son or daughter thought this way, acted in this fashion and refrained from taking a stand against this 21st century inexcusable behavior!” Erin Ness Carter, a mother living in the Iowan district, remarked that “for the supporters of one team from a primarily white part of town to paint themselves as the ‘team of the USA’ it strongly implies that the other team, the less white team, is less American.” Some individuals defended the Valley High students. “Now we can’t wear USA stuff without making someone upset?” asked Melissa Fraas-Bader, another Valley High alum. “Oh please….” I can honestly say that I have NEVER been ashamed to be an American, but this makes me feel pretty darn close. If you’re offended by our flag and patriotic clothing in a country so kind to take you in, you need to stop being a wimp and go back to your third world crap hole where you feel more comfortable. This is SHAMEFUL that student’s and parents were upset by students wearing red, white and blue. It has gotten unbelievable that no matter what you do/say/wear, it is taken as a personal insult. GROW UP PEOPLE and get over it.
