A middle-aged McDonald’s employee refused to be bullied by an impudent customer, giving him a verbal lashing that rendered him speechless. The entire exchange was captured on video, and the employee’s bold stand garnered praise from viewers.

The viral video features a female McDonald’s employee at the drive-thru window, courageously confronting a particularly entitled customer. In the brief 37-second clip, the employee points to the man’s iced coffee, saying, “It’s all on the bottom, see? And now go to a different store. We will not be serving you anymore.” Undeterred, she closes the window and moves on to the next customer, but the disgruntled man wasn’t ready to let it go just yet.

Despite multiple attempts to prepare his iced coffee to his liking, the staff couldn’t seem to satisfy him. The exasperated employee explains, “Because every single time we make your drink, it is wrong. Obviously, we cannot satisfy you the first time, and we’re done trying. So, get out of my drive-thru!” As the video concludes, we hear her add, “And you guys called my employees’ vulgar names.”

This video originally posted on TikTok, which has since been removed, amassed over 700,000 likes and 10,000 comments, with the majority supporting the employee, according to the New York Post.

Customers don’t have the right to abuse employees,” one commenter urged. This sentiment was echoed by others, including someone who claimed to know the woman personally, revealing that she was the general manager at that location.

Another commenter appreciated the employee’s defense of her coworkers, stating, “Good for her. It’s not just herself that she is standing up for, but her employees, too.” One viewer initially thought she was too harsh but changed their mind upon hearing the customer had made vulgar comments to other employees. They wrote, “If that is true, then the McDonald’s employee has a point.”
