You see, we’ve had our fair share of classic monikers like Michael and Molly, but as the years rolled by, something curious happened – baby names took a turn for the, well, unusual. And who better to lead the charge than our beloved celebrities? You might recall how Gwyneth Paltrow caused a stir when she named her baby “Apple,” or when Beyonce and Jay Z opted for “Blue Ivy” for their little one.

But, my friends, there’s a couple who may have outdone even the most bizarre of celebrity baby names. Allow me to introduce Jay and Kateri Schwandt, the proud parents of not one, not two, but fourteen boys, all with a 25-year age gap between the eldest and the youngest. So, when they discovered they were expecting their 14th kiddo, they couldn’t help but wish for a girl, just to add a little variety to their boisterous, testosterone-filled household.

Well, the stork had other plans, and along came baby boy number 14, tipping the scales at a healthy 8 pounds and 4 ounces. They decided on Finley for his first name, but they wanted something a smidge more memorable for his middle name, seeing as he’d be their last addition to the clan.

Kateri thought back to a tale her father used to tell her, about a Native American chief with a passel of sons. The chief was expectin’ yet another child and was dead certain this won’t be a girl. But fate had a funny way of working, and the chief’s wife delivered yet another boy. They named him “Sheyboygan,” which translates to “She’s a boy again.”

Inspired by this story, Jay and Kateri chose “Sheyboygan” as Finley’s middle name. Now, little Finley’s got himself a pack of brothers to grow up with: Tyler (25), Zach (22), Drew (21), Brandon (19), Tommy (16), Vinny (15), Calvin (12), Gabe (11), Wesley (9), Charlie (8), Luke (6), Tucker (4), and Francisco (2).

Jay and Kateri were well aware this would likely be their last rodeo, so they made sure to cherish every moment of Kateri’s pregnancy, relishing the experience just as much as they had with their very first child.
