Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett RIPPED said that Dr. Fauci may be legally culpable for everything if he acted outside the scope of his employment by funding the Wuhan lab as the host slammed Fauci.
In an interview with Rose Unplugged, Jarrett used the phrase “Fauci the fraud” in referring to the nation’s leading infectious disease expert, saying that Fauci struck him as “a guy who didn’t know what he was talking about,” a person who is “chronically incompetent.”
Pointing back to January 2020, Jarrett said Fauci was warned by a group of respected virologists that COVID-19 had unusual features that made it appear as if the virus had been engineered.
“Did Fauci circumvent the rules – and by the way, if he did do that, he is acting outside the course and scope of his employment which makes him legally culpable for everything from wrongful death lawsuits to negligent lawsuits – he has no immunity if he’s acting through misfeasance outside the scope of his employment,” Jarrett added.
“Instead of disclosing that information, Tony Fauci did the opposite. He covered it up and he trashed the idea as a crazy conspiracy,” he said. “Why would he want to cover it up? Well, I theorize to avoid implicating himself.
His complicity in sending hundreds of thousands of American taxpayer dollars to the Wuhan lab to conduct the very kind of dangerous experiments that may have caused the virus.
Garrett further observed that Fauci “was leading the charge that [the virus] could not have possibly come from a lab,” before adding that he “was compromised in that very lab.”

As for the money sent to the lab, Fauci has said that he trusted the Chinese to use the funding for its intended purpose and not the dangerous gain-of-function research that was banned in the U.S. under the Obama administration.
“Did Fauci circumvent the rules?” Jarrett asked. “And by the way, if he did do that, he’s acting outside the course and scope of his employment which makes him legally culpable for everything from wrongful death lawsuits, we’re talking about millions of them, to negligence lawsuits. He has no immunity if he’s acting through misfeasance outside the scope of his employment.”
The Fox News legal analyst said China has “a long and distinguished track record of lies and misrepresentations.”
“And they had a clear motive to hide that this arguably came from one of their labs, escaped from one of their labs,” he opined. “A lab, by the way, that’s notorious for its sloppy safety protocols.”
Going further, he said the Wuhan lab is “known to be an arm of the Chinese military that has long sought bioweapons,” asking “what idiot” would give US dollars to such a lab.
“You would have to be, as I think Fauci is, an incumbent fool to think that’s a good idea,” Jarrett said, going on to say Fauci became infatuated with his celebrity status.
Insisting that Fauci should have been fired long ago when President Trump was in office, Jarrett said there needs to be a criminal investigation into whether Fauci lied to Congress.
“If he lied to Congress he should be charged and criminally prosecuted,” he said.
Jarrett has said the same thing on his podcast, “The Brief.”
“Fauci is culpable not only for his deliberate deceptions but for his suspected complicity in what may turn out to be a man-made illness that killed more than 500,000 Americans and 3.5 million people worldwide,” he said Saturday. “He should be fired immediately from his lofty position. But don’t stop there. A comprehensive investigation must be launched by the U.S. government into the origins of the COVID-19 virus and the extent to which Fauci is implicated.”
“If he lied in his testimony, he should be criminally charged and prosecuted,” Jarrett added. “If it can be shown that he helped cause or contribute to the deadly pandemic, he should face a multitude of civil lawsuits for wrongful death.”
