Some people will do absolutely anything for social media fame, but this Subway worker went beyond the line and is now paying the consequences of his action.
Today’s featured story of “who wants to be a clout chaser,” is a man who goes by the Instagram name “Jumaane” went viral after working at a Subway in Providence, RI, he decided to destroy the restaurant by throwing around food.
The former fast-food worker, whose full name is Jumanne Way, uploaded clips of himself trashing the restaurant to Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. In one of the videos, he takes small sips out of sealed Gatorade bottles before putting them back on the shelf. In another video, he arranges deli meats and other sandwich toppings around a toilet.
Another video showed Jumanne saying “f*** Subway” before throwing bread on the ground.
Jumanne said that he was worried about being convicted of a crime. He added, though, that his actions were “a decision I made over time.”
‘AWM’ explained further the now-deleted videos of Jumanne:
In a video uploaded to his YouTube account, Way climbs onto tables and trashes equipment as well as decorates bathrooms with sandwich ingredients before going back for more of the same in another room at a later date. In some videos, users can hear him speaking or singing while he’s committing these disgusting acts, all because he wants to be popular on TikTok.
In another video, Way walks through some of the food that he just threw onto the floor and then threw it back into a silver tub before putting his shoes in them as well. In yet another viral clip, Way shows jars filled with water and their contents which he has licked off of bottles before placing it back on the shelf.
In a video from May, Way is seen climbing onto tables and trashing equipment as well as smashing food before going to another room, where he continues his destruction without any regard for what has been done or how much money will be lost. In some videos, users can hear him speaking or singing while he’s committing these disgusting acts, all because he wants to be popular on TikTok.

Jumanne explained during his interview with Daily Mail that he was willing to push the boundaries of his employment because he was getting greater rewards from the content he was creating instead of the job he was working. In other words, he earned more from videos trashing his Subway location than from the job making sandwiches.
Jumanne, who finally gets the attention he wanted, spoke in an interview about the outrageous video:
“Unfortunately, I’m a content creator, so I create controversial videos to be able to potentially monetize my audience on YouTube and other social media platforms,” he said. “I just reached a point where I decided I would be willing to take a higher risk for a higher reward. There’s a lot of consequences within creating controversy but I accept whatever happens.”
A Subway spokesperson confirmed that Way had been fired:
“Subway and our network of franchisees take health and food safety extremely seriously and don’t condone any behavior that violates our strict policies in these areas,” reads the statement. “While Subway restaurants are individually owned and operated, we have confirmed with the franchisee of this location that the employee was immediately terminated after he learned of the employee’s actions.”
