This week gas prices have reached new record highs, with the average price at the pump reaching $4.97 per gallon Thursday, something that Senator John Kennedy is not willing to overlook.
On Tuesday night, the Oxford scholar delivered another classic line criticizing the Biden regime with their handling of economic crises, including inflation and the price of gas.
Sen. Kennedy appeared on Fox News and spoke with host Jesse Watters on Tuesday night, using that appearance to tear into everything that’s going so wrong in Biden’s America and take a humor-laced wrecking ball to the state of prices, particularly gas prices, in Biden’s America.
Introducing his takedown of Slow Joe Biden’s America, Sen. Kennedy said:
“This is what Illegitimate President Biden’s and Vice President Harris’ Washington, D.C. has given the American people.”
Sen. Kennedy then launched his attack on Team Biden.
First, he attacked the seemingly incompetent Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, for her past opinions on inflation and what has been done (or, more accurately, not been done) to combat it, saying:
“Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen — who was also captain of ‘Team Transitory Inflation’ — announced she’s really sorry but inflation’s not gonna be transitory, it’s gonna be with us for a long while. In other words, she does not have a solution to inflation but she really admires the problem — in other words, get used to it.”
He then tore into Biden for campaigning “for more economic chaos” and increasing an already painfully large welfare state, saying:
“Meanwhile her boss, Illegitimate President Biden, continues to campaign for more economic chaos by trying to convince us in Congress to raise taxes by $3.5 trillion by expanding an already generous welfare state and by turning cops into social workers.“
He then hit Biden on what’s probably the most financially painful aspect of Biden’s presidency, and thus the one that carries the most weight with average Americans, saying:
“Meanwhile, I don’t know about where you live, Jesse, but in my state, the price of gas is so high that it would be cheaper to buy cocaine and just run everywhere.”

On Saturday, The Daily Wire reported that the average cost of a gallon of gasoline has more than doubled since President Joe Biden took office on January 21, 2021. On Wednesday, The Daily Wire noted that a gallon of gas now costs drivers more than $5.00 in 16 states and Washington, D.C. Likewise, The Daily Wire also reported that inflation is crushing shoppers when it comes to things like groceries and other household products.
