Why A State Has To Pay A Sex Criminal 17 Million Dollars Is Beyond…

In the state of Ohio, even if you are a convicted pedophile, you can still win millions of dollars provided you have a good attorney.

A convicted child sex offender in Ohio is to receive $17.5 million in compensation after prison guards left him paralyzed — and boasted about it afterward.

Seth Fletcher, 21, was left in a wheelchair and unable to move from the chest down after he was tackled and dropped multiple times while handcuffed.

The incident occurred at Chillicothe Correctional Institution at around 6 PM on April 2, 2020, when during a strip search, prison guards caught Fletcher with a cigarette they suspected was laced with drugs.

Fletcher was then handcuffed and escorted to the segregated housing unit. However, while en route, he was tackled to the ground. In that moment, he suffered a severe spinal cord injury.

Guards then picked him up by the arms and legs, face down, and carried him to the clinic. Neither the guards nor nurse took his complaints of not being able to move or feel his legs seriously, even dropping him several times after the initial injury, as per The Columbus Dispatch.

They incarcerated Fletcher earlier for child sex offenses when he was just 18 years old. Fletcher’s Lawyer stated the incident involved a consensually made videotape between Fletcher and his girlfriend. She was two years younger than Fletcher at the time of the incident surrounding his incarceration.

In April 2017, Fletcher filed a lawsuit against the prison for negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He was attacked by three inmates whom he said were armed with knives and handguns.

One of the attackers, Garrett Osbon, is a guard who took part in the assault; he resigned from his job as a corrections officer shortly afterward. Osbon had sent text messages about the attack and posted on Facebook: “The dude I broke his nose is now paralyzed with a broken neck, and they say his face looks like he had been dropped and dragged through concrete, LMAO.”

Osbon added, “It feels good to know that I played a small part in paralyzing a cho, LMAO.”

“Chomo” or “cho,” according to reports, is a prison term for a pedophile child.

In his defense, Fletcher’s lawyer Geoffrey Fieger said “The torture and crippling of a prisoner in America sounds medieval. Yet it happened, here, in America, in 2020.”

With this, Fletcher was awarded millions of dollars because of the attack.

‘AWM’ dropped these details about the incident:

Prison guards conducted a strip search on Fletcher on April 2, 2020, when they found him to be in possession of a cigarette that they suspected also contained drugs. Because he was not supposed to be in possession of that, they conducted the search but used too much force on the 21-year-old pedophile.

During the search, Corrections Officers Dustin Knox and Christopher Coy handcuffed Fletcher. They escorted him to a segregated unit at the Ohio facility around 6 pm. At that time, Officer Coy said the prison tried to pull away. The officers quickly tackled him to the ground, which was when Fletcher suffered his spinal cord injury.

Although Fletcher told the guards that he could no longer feel or move his legs, they ignored him and kept dropping him on his face since he could not walk. Eventually, they carried the injured pedophile by his arms to a prison cell where they deposited him on the ground, where he lay alone until 9:49 am the following morning.

Just before ten o’clock, Fletcher received a visit from psychologist Eric Anderson. He found Fletcher to be very injured and called to get him medical attention, which he had been requesting since he was tackled and paralyzed. He was taken to the Ohio State Medical Center, where he underwent emergency spinal surgery.

At one point during the ordeal, Fletcher begged for water. An Ohio prison guard poured water on his face and then bragged about how he “waterboarded him LMAO.”
