World Famous Actress Has Passed Away After Just Discovering Cancer Diagnosis…

Kirstie Alley, who won an Emmy for her role on “Cheers” and starred in films including “Look Who’s Talking,” died Monday. She was 71.

Alley died of cancer that was only recently discovered, her children True and Lillie Parker said in a post on Twitter. Alley’s manager Donovan Daughtry confirmed the death in an email to The Associated Press.

“We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered,” they said in a statement.

Sharing more about the Cheers star’s final moments, Alley’s children said, “She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead.”

Alley was an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump prior to winning the presidential election in 2016. The actress decided to not vote for either Trump or Joe Biden four years later.

On Monday, her Look Who’s Talking trilogy co-star John Travolta took to social media to write, “Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had. I love you Kirstie. I know we will see each other again.”

Ted Danson, who played the head bartender on Cheers, said he was on a plane watching an episode of Cheers where Kirstie’s character was proposed to by Tom Berenger. Danson said:

“Her ability to play a woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown was both moving and hysterically funny. She made me laugh 30 years ago when she shot that scene, and she made me laugh today just as hard. As I got off the plane, I heard that Kirstie had died. I am so sad and so grateful for all the times she made me laugh. I send my love to her children. As they well know, their mother had a heart of gold. I will miss her.”

Other celebrities to pay tribute include Jamie Lee Curtis, Alley’s ex-husband Parker Stevenson, Tim Allen, Yvette Nicole-Brown, Jackée Harry, Clancy Brown, Kristen Chenoweth, Carl Weathers, and Adam Carolla.

Rest in peace, Kirstie. You will be missed!
