Isn’t ironic to witness Dems attacking Dems? I mean after the Joe Biden debacle in Afghanistan, everyone including former members of the Obama administration is coming out to slam Biden.
This should ring the alarms of the Biden administration.
Former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said, “Situation in Kabul Airport is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.”
Yahoo News reports that the Republican National Committee (RNC) highlighted Obama-era officials hammering President Biden’s handling the botched Afghanistan troop withdrawal.
The new RNC ad compiles clips of officials from former President Obama’s administration weighing in on the Afghanistan crisis caused by Biden’s hasty troop withdrawal.
“Joe Biden is to blame for the botched Afghanistan withdrawal,” the RNC’s research arm tweeted Friday. “Don’t take it from us, take it from Obama-Biden administration officials.”
“This Afghan government was going to collapse rapidly because of the way in which we got out,” Obama Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said in a CBS interview highlighted in the video.
“I think of John Kennedy and the Bay of Pigs,” Obama-era CIA director Leon Panetta said in a CNN interview. “It unfolded quickly, and the president thought everything would be fine and that was not the case.”
Obama’s Afghanistan Ambassador Ryan Crocker remarked the botched withdrawal has “created a global crisis,” while Obama’s senior adviser David Axelrod called the pullout a “disaster” and said the execution was indefensible.
