DEFINITION OF INSANITY: Woke Prosecutor Gave Him A Year In Jail For Threatening A Dictionary….

In a stunning display of selective justice, an Orange County man has been sentenced to one year in prison for daring to question the ultra-woke Merriam-Webster dictionary’s recent changes to definitions of words like “girl,” “woman,” and “female.” The incident shows how the radical left is using the justice system to silence dissenting voices and further their agenda.

Jeremy Hanson, a 35-year-old patriot, was pushed to the edge by the dictionary’s relentless assault on traditional values. Prosecutors claim that he has a history of so-called “threatening communications,” all of which were allegedly motivated by biases based on race, gender, gender identity, and/or sexual orientation. However, this narrative conveniently ignores the fact that Hanson was not alone in his frustrations with these controversial revisions.

The same prosecutors used this case to send a message, arguing they wanted to make an example of Hanson and use his sentencing as a “deterrent to others at a time when violent rhetoric is becoming more common.” One must wonder if this same standard would be applied to leftist activists who routinely employ violent rhetoric against conservatives.

Hanson’s passionate defense of truth led him to send messages not only to Merriam-Webster but also to the American Civil Liberties Union, Amnesty International, Land O’ Lakes Inc., Hasbro, and a nonbinary rabbi, among others. All he wanted was for these organizations to respect the sanctity of the English language and stop promoting politically motivated falsehoods.

Despite the fact that Hanson’s “threats” were sent through a simple “contact” form on the Merriam-Webster website, prosecutors painted him as a dangerous menace. In one of his messages,

Hanson wrote, “It is absolutely sickening that Merriam-Webster now tells blatant lies and promotes anti-science propaganda… The imbecile who wrote this entry should be hunted down and shot.”

Though these messages were sent between October 2 and October 8, the case did not conclude until recently. During the sentencing hearing, Judge Mark Mastroianni in U.S. District Court in Springfield claimed that Merriam-Webster management was “fearful that Hanson would come to their office and cause harm.” Yet, this argument conveniently ignores the reality that Hanson’s messages were sent in a moment of frustration and were never acted upon.

Last year, Hanson pleaded guilty to “interstate transmission of threatening communications in connection with threats” against the Massachusetts-based dictionary publisher. This overblown charge shows how the left will stop at nothing to punish those who challenge their twisted narrative.

On Thursday, Hanson was sentenced in a federal court in Massachusetts, and according to the Orange County Register, he received additional punishments of “30 days of home confinement, three years of probation, and mental health treatment.” These excessive measures only serve to demonstrate how the justice system is being weaponized against conservative voices.

This case is a stark reminder that in today’s America, dissenting opinions are no longer tolerated, and those who refuse to bow down to the radical left’s agenda risk facing severe consequences. The sentencing of Jeremy Hanson should serve as a wake-up call for all Americans who value their freedom of speech and the right to stand up for their beliefs.
