Is the removal of Tucker Carlson from Fox News related to his fierce criticism of Joe Biden’s Ukraine policy and opposition to foreign aid for the nation?
Semafor recently reported that earlier this spring, Fox News Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch had an undisclosed call with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The conversation revolved around the ongoing conflict and the anniversary of Fox News journalists’ deaths last March.
Lachlan Murdoch, Rupert’s son, also discussed the same subject with Zelenskyy. These conversations occurred just weeks before the Murdochs took Tucker off the air, although he remains under contract.
Semafor’s report also highlights that some of Zelenskyy’s top aides have openly criticized Tucker. Although it remains uncertain whether Tucker’s resistance to continuous Ukrainian aid influenced Rupert Murdoch’s decision to remove him from the air, the media mogul has reportedly been troubled by Tucker’s outspoken America First stance, according to the Washington Post.
Support for Zelenskyy is a significant consideration for the Murdoch family. Their media outlets, The Wall Street Journal and New York Post, consistently criticize politicians who dare to challenge the continuous aid to the infamously corrupt nation.
Tucker’s opposition to America’s involvement in Ukraine is a crucial issue for him. The Gateway Pundit reported in March that Tucker had sent a questionnaire regarding the matter to every announced and potential GOP presidential candidate.
Both President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis aligned with Tucker’s stance, while others like Mike Pence maintained the Uniparty line.
However, globalist politicians like Mitt Romney openly celebrated Tucker’s downfall, with the Utah Senator speaking to The Hill and saying:
“There have been some that have argued that he was setting foreign policy for the Republican Party, which I find to be bizarre. Certainly not for me. To the primary [Republican] voter, the active participant, the grassroots voter, he’s a person they listen to and has a big influence.”
Without Tucker’s powerful antiwar conservative voice on air, GOP politicians have less to fear from their voters when it comes to selling out America to foreign nations. The Murdochs are no doubt pleased with this development.
