It looks like Dems entire agenda has been blown out together with their immigration plan B.
Dems have been focusing on giving better welfare to these illegal aliens while most of the working Americans are fighting their everyday life. Plus Joe Biden’s tyrannical vaccine mandates taking tolls on working American jobs.
It’s time for these Dems to shift their focus on regular working Americans who were greatly affected by these COVID mandates.
But sad to say we can’t expect these to happen so soon, Dems will literally move heaven and earth for illegals because that’s a voting block they can count on.
Technically these illegals can’t “vote” right? Really makes you wonder, doesn’t it?
No wonder Dems don’t want voter ID. Hard to have your illegal voting base, voting, if they need a special ID.
At any rate, Dems have been fighting tooth and nail for 10 million illegals aliens to get amnesty…and so far, they’ve had no luck.
Their plan “A” got shot down by the Senate parliamentarian.
So they went back to the drawing board and came up with a plan “B.”
And guess what?
The Senate parliamentarian just shot that down, too.
Excerpt from The Hill’s report:
The Senate parliamentarian has nixed Democrats’ backup plan for getting immigration reform into a sweeping spending bill, handing them a second huge loss in less than 10 days.
Democrats had pitched parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough on legalizing millions of illegal invaders by making a change to the date. But MacDonough told Democrats that the option was a non-starter, according to a copy of the guidance obtained by The Hill. Democrats are pursuing other backup plans with the Senate referee, according to a source familiar with Democrats’ strategy.
Changing the registry date is a “weighty policy change and our analysis of this issue is thus largely the same” as for Democrats’ previous proposal to provide legal permanent resident status to some immigrants, MacDonough told Democrats in her guidance.
“It’s unfortunate. I disagree with her … but we’ll go to Plan C,” said Sen. Bob Menendez. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin said he was “disappointed” in the ruling and that it left them with “limited” options.
Realistically, the Dems are out of options.
They don’t have a plan “C” option that will move the needle, and this is a disaster for them because they’re going to head into 2022, having kept zero promises for voters.
Washington Monthly put it best when they said: The ruling has enraged many Democrats who already consider the Senate’s rules undemocratic and do not believe that some unelected parliamentarian should determine what they can pass. With no way around the filibuster, Democrats understandably fear that immigration reform will once again be stymied by obstructionist Republicans, as it was during the Obama administration.
Score one for the good guys.
