People Are Saying They Will NEVER Eat At Chik-Fil-A Again After A Video That Just Leaked Out!

A Chick-fil-A employee has sparked outrage online after sharing a video of a full tray of chicken nuggets being thrown in the trash at the end of the night.

The TikTok user, who is known only as @jlucvss, gave a behind-the-scenes look at the nightly cleanup at Chick-fil-A with the controversial footage which shows an employee dumping leftover chicken in a garbage bin while music blasts in the background.

In the caption, the anonymous employee wrote:

“What they do every night with the chicken nuggets at Chick-fil-A.”

The clip has amassed more than 8 million views with a comment section that one could read for hours. Other TikTokers, without hesitation, were left unimpressed to see the nuggets being thrown out.

One of the most liked comments said, “The amount of food we throw away, and the amount of starving people there are just doesn’t sit right with me”.

“Nooooooooo, give them to me!!!!” one user reportedly commented.

Others were appalled at the food waste. “The amount of food we throw away and the amount of starving people there are just doesn’t sit right with me.”

One user reportedly commented. “It’s sad.”

“Give them out for free, wtf,” someone wrote.

One person asked, “Why not give it to the homeless.”

Some people, however, argued that food chains did not often donate surplus food because it might have gone bad and would cause harm to those consuming it.

“Chicken that sits too long cannot be given out to the homeless hours later. It will get them sick. It’s not a doughnut. It is illegal to give food to the homeless in food service. Any food leftover goes to the employees or the trash.”

“I just got my food handlers test. They’re doing it right.”

“I used to work at a café, and we would get written up if we took the food home and didn’t throw it out. They were stingy as ****, which is why I quit.”

The truth is, food waste is more common than anyone would like to think, and restaurants throw out more food than most would imagine. Average households waste about 32 percent of their food, while restaurants waste almost thirty million pounds of food per year.

Food waste is piling up in our homes, restaurants, and landfills. Production needs to decelerate to help combat the dangerous environmental effects.

  • Every restaurant does this. One way to have less thrown out is to give more in the servings as the closing hour gets close.
