To be honest, there’s nothing we love more at the Fearless publication than justice for survivors being served on a cold plate of justice. And Ron Jeremy, a well-known adult film star, is about to be served a heaping portion of this.
Jeremy, whose real name is Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, now faces up to 250 years in prison after being held in jail on previous charges centered on sex crimes in which he allegedly raped multiple women.
According to reports, additional 20 rape and various sexual assault charges concerning 12 more women and one teenage girl in attacks that go as far back as 2004. That brings Jeremy’s alleged victim count to 17.
The District Attorney’s Office revised the complaint against the defendant to incorporate a total of eight forcible rapes and lewd conduct with a 15-year-old girl, in addition to other counts, ABC News San Diego reports.
The victims’ ages span from 15–54. The 15-year-old survivor was passed out when Jeremy assaulted her with objects and his own body. This charge dates back to 2004.
The latest charge took place on January 2020, when Jeremy allegedly sexually assaulted a 21-year-old woman outside a Hollywood business.
Jeremy denies any sexual misconduct, but the evidence and victim testimonial count is stacking up against him. He’s currently imprisoned in lieu of a $6.6 million bail.
In a tweet, the actor said: “I am innocent of all charges. I can’t wait to prove my innocence in court! Thank you to everyone for all the support.”
We never see numbers like that — but we’re thrilled that in this case the punishment somewhat matches the crime of the deep and traumatic violation of his victims.
It’s already a massive victory for us all, hopefully ensuring that this monster can no longer violate another human being, and will rot in jail for the rest of his days.
