The View host Joy Behar was suspended for two weeks after she downplayed the Holocaust as a ‘white on white’ massacre and denied that the Jewish people are a separate ethnic group.
And just two weeks after suspension, the controversial host is now on fire again as she makes a “tone-deaf” comment about the Russia-Ukraine crisis.
After Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a “full-scale invasion” in the east of Ukraine, the topic was being discussed in the US including The View.
Co-host Sunny Hostin said:
“This is going to start a humanitarian crisis, a refugee crisis in Europe. We’re talking about 5 million people that are going to be displaced. It’s heartbreaking to hear what is going to happen.”

Behar then responded, “Well I’m scared of what’s going to happen in Western Europe too. You know, you plan a trip, you want to go there, I’ve wanted to go to Italy for four years. I haven’t been able to make it because of the pandemic and now this.”
Viewers took to Twitter to accuse the presenter of “narcissism” for focusing on her family holiday at a time of international crisis.
Another added: “Joy Behar can always be counted on to focus on the real victims – privileged rich people who haven’t been able to go to Italy for four years.”

Before the recent one, Behar also made herself into another issue as she was seen maskless in a restaurant after she announced that she was going to continue wearing a mask ‘indefinitely’ despite mandates lifting across the country.
