Disney’s woke agenda is taking over the entertainment industry, but one young star is standing up for his faith.

Joshua Bassett, one of the stars of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” on Disney+, recently accepted an award at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and used the opportunity to declare his faith in Jesus Christ.

Last month, Bassett shared a video of his baptism declaring Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He talked about how he had “ran the other way as far as [he] could go in pursuit of ‘truth’” but “no other teacher gave [him] anywhere near the peace that Jesus Christ did.” He continued to share faith-filled messages on social media, declaring that “Jesus Christ is the only way”and urging people to “turn away from hate, seek forgiveness and come home to Him.”

During the awards ceremony, Bassett accepted the award for “Favorite Male TV star” and thanked Jesus Christ. He took the opportunity to share an inspiring message for those who are struggling in life, saying “there are a lot of people here who are burdened, broken-hearted, and have been beaten down by life. For those of you who’ve lost hope, there’s a very real God who loves you more than you will ever possibly know. His promise is peace and my testimony is my healing.”

However, Bassett faced some criticism for his speech, with some people complaining that it shouldn’t have included God in front of kids. But not everyone had an issue with Bassett’s expression of faith.

One Twitter user wrote “I ain’t even religious but y’all are just absolutely weird for saying that Joshua Bassett’s speech shouldn’t have included God in front of kids. Bruh just admit you hate Christians like, If he wants to include what helped him in his speech, he can do so. Don’t be pathetic.”

Another user added “So people are hating on Joshua Bassett for his acceptance speech at the #KCAs? Wow, so you have respect for all Religions except for Christianity… #smh. Stop hating on people for their religious beliefs!”

It’s refreshing to see a young star in the entertainment industry standing up for his faith, especially in a time when so many celebrities are embracing the woke agenda. While some may criticize Bassett’s speech, he is an inspiration for young people everywhere who are struggling and looking for hope. Remember: “Forgive quickly, love freely and walk courageously. Love always wins in the end.”
