The most precious thing in this world is the innocence of a child. It is true that wide-eyed wonder, belief in things rooted in magic, and unconditional love and acceptance are made.

For most sensible people, crimes against children, especially crimes that permanently damage and destroy that innocence, are one of the most egregious and disgusting acts a person could ever commit. Unfortunately, however, there seems to be an urge in our country to minimize this kind of heinous crime.

Of course, the Golden State is at the forefront of this realm, as discovered in a recent sex offender conviction survey conducted by the Daily Mail. The results of their analysis are astonishing and disgusting.

Democrats in California have made sure that certain men who statutorily rape minors by sodomy don’t have to register as sex offenders. Several years ago, they decriminalized child prostitution.

However, a Daily Mail investigation, which examined a database of convicted sex offenders in California, found that there were more than 7,000 pedophiles convicted of “lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age,” who were released from prison after serving less than one year.

Daily Mail senior reporter Josh Boswell, who broke the story, told Tucker Carlson on Tuesday that he had to bypass limitations on California’s Megan’s Law website to gather statistics on registered sex offenders in the state as the California Justice Department refused to provide him with the data.

To really paint a picture of how gross the California criminal justice system has become, let’s look at the number of people who have served less than 12 months in prison:

  • 365 pedophiles convicted of persistent sexual abuse of a child
  • 39 cases of sodomy involving a child under the age of 16
  • 3 cases of abduction of a child under the age of 14 ‘with the intent to commit lewd or lascivious acts’

The Daily Mail also looked at the state’s overall sex offender database and found that 76% of those on record had been convicted of child sex crimes. However, the average prison sentence was only two years and ten months.

It’s hard to say that one sex crime is worse than another, especially against children. But if you had to weigh them against each other, those committed “with violence or fear,” as the law puts it, may outweigh others.

There were 114 pedophiles who committed such crimes, and all served less than a year in prison.

It’s hard to understand how and why these monsters serve less time than an average military draft.

if we’re lucky, other prisoners hear of their crime and give them an appropriate consequence
